Nikolas Wayne Kanazawa Wriston

Started saxophone at age 12. After graduating from Musashino Academia Musicae affiliated High School, graduated from the Department of Virtuoso, Musashino Music College, earn bachelor degree. Studied saxophone with Natsumi Otaki and Katsuki Tochio. Studied chamber music with Tatsuo Sumita, Eiji Miyashita, Susumu Takahisa, Hirokazu Hayashida, and Katsuki Tochio. Participated to the 23th and 25th Hamamatsu International Wind Academy and Festival, in Otis Murphy’s class. Performed the suite “Hary Janos” at Japan, Hungary 150th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations / 90th Anniversary Ceremony of Musashino Academia Musicae, Gyor Philharmonic Orchestra Concert. Played at considerable concerts, such as Musashino Academia Musicae affiliated High School Graduation Concert, the 19.21st Concert by Affiliated High School Students and New Graduates, The 11th Reception Concert hosted by Kunitachi Music University Affiliated High School, New Stream Concert -19- . (Solo concert for singled out students in Musashino music college.), and Musashino College of Music Graduation Concert.

First prize at the 9thYokohama International Music, from the saxophone-high school division. Awarded “Encouragement Award” at the 3rd K Saxophone Competition from the saxophone-university division. Fellowship of Naoaki Fukui Scholarship 2014, 2015, and 2019.
