Charlotte Jansky, saxophonist, is active in seeking musical opportunities in and out of the classroom. Serving as the tenor saxophone chair of the Backseat Quartet and a performer in the Michigan State Concert Band, Jansky is an avid performer as a student of the College of Music at Michigan State University. She is also a two-time competitor in the MTNA Solo Competition, has given several solo recitals, and has performed in pit orchestras playing saxophone, clarinet, and flute. Jansky has also been a member of the Youth Orchestra of Central Jersey Saxophone Choir, and was a student conductor, performing her own arrangement of excerpts from Appalachian Spring in the Spring of 2019. A native of New Jersey, Jansky studied with Jonathan Wintringham before attending Michigan State University. As a sophomore saxophone performance & music education undergraduate student, she currently studies with Joseph Lulloff.
